Larry Page and Sergey Brin were two intelligent minds in the 90s when they met as doctoral students at Stanford University.<\/b><\/p>\n

Google turned 25 on September 27, 2023. It is celebrated as a significant occasion in the world of technology. The journey of the tech company is nothing but commendable work.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the middle of the ’90s, two intelligent minds, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, met as doctoral students in the science program of Stanford University. At that time, they did not know their collaboration would change the digital world forever.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Initially, “BackRub” was the research name they started, and gradually, it turned into Google, a search engine.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After a mathematical analysis of the World Wide Web’s link structure, Larry Page laid the basis for the groundbreaking search engine we know as Google today. In 1998, the project was changed to Google. The name was inspired by a mathematical term that means a large number known as ‘Googal.’<\/span><\/p>\n

By 1998, Google Inc. received its first certification from Andy Bechtolsheim (co-founder of Sun Microsystems) in the form of a $100,000 check.<\/span><\/p>\n

Page and Brin moved from their Stanford dorm room to their first “office”\u2014a rented garage in Menlo Park, California.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For some years, they lived in the garage, which had room for computers and a ping pong table, as they tirelessly worked to realize their dream of organizing the internet.<\/span><\/p>\n

Apart from search<\/b><\/h2>\n

Now, Google is just not limited to the search engine. Products like YouTube<\/a>, Android, Gmail, and Google Maps have become an essential part of the routine of a billion people around the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2000, when Google became Yahoo’s default search engine, it started influencing the world of technology. Also, Google laid the foundation of its online advertising dominance, Adword, in October 2000.<\/span><\/p>\n

The following significant advancement occurred in 2004 when Google revealed that Gmail would give a mind-boggling 1GB of storage space.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Gmail has become a crucial component of our lives and assisted in fending off competition from services like YahooMail and Microsoft’s Hotmail. In the same year, in August, the company became public.<\/span><\/p>\n

The launch of YouTube and Android by Google<\/b><\/h2>\n

Google continued to innovate beyond just search and email. In 2005, it entered the smartphone market by acquiring Android and introducing Google Talk. The 2006 purchase of YouTube marked Google’s foray into the internet video market.<\/span><\/p>\n

With the addition of DoubleClick in 2007, Google’s acquisition spree continued and increased its impact on internet marketing. Users may access a variety of material kinds in one search thanks to the 2007 introduction of universal search.<\/span><\/p>\n

The T-Mobile G1, Google’s first Android phone, was unveiled in 2008 with the Chrome web browser<\/a>. In the following years, Google Glass was introduced, Waze was purchased, and Alphabet, Google’s parent company, was established with Sundar Pichai as its CEO.<\/span><\/p>\n

Future of Google<\/b><\/h2>\n

Google CEO Sundar Pichai wrote a blog post earlier this month in which he discussed the company’s prospects, particularly the opportunities presented by AI. In 25 years, Google will compete against other industry titans across all product categories. Google is already one of the leading companies in this industry, and AI is one of the main opportunities it is attempting to capitalize on.
