These days, prescription medications are crazy expensive and for people like me who take them on a daily basis, the monthly costs can feel nearly impossible. I finally decided enough was enough and took to the internet to see if there were any ways to get the prescription medicines I take every day at a discount or with a prescription discount card. <\/span>
\nIt turns out, there are several great options for a prescription saver in the form of apps! Who knew? I came across a website called AppGrooves that listed the top 10 apps for prescription drug discounts (I\u2019ll link it below in case you want to do your own research), and I discovered that using some of these apps, I am able to compare prescription drug discounts, print coupons, and, in the end, save tons of money.<\/span>
\nTop 10 Prescription Drug Discount Apps<\/strong>

\n<\/span><\/a>If you find yourself struggling to keep up with the costs of prescription drugs<\/a> – and, trust me, you are not alone! – then I highly recommend you check out the apps I\u2019ve listed below. For your benefit, I\u2019ve chosen my favorite three apps and listed the pros and cons of each so you can more easily determine which app is better for your situation. <\/span><\/p>\n

GoodRx Drug Prices and Coupons – Rating: 4.8, Downloads: 1M<\/span><\/h2>\n

What\u2019s really helpful about GoodRx is that it finds discounts on medications from all your local pharmacies and compares their prices, so you can see all of the best local deals in one place. You\u2019re also able to track the medicines you use the most and receive alerts when there are discounts on them. You can find medications for the whole family, including your pets, which is not something that many prescription drug discount apps offer. And, if you are someone who often forgets about refilling your prescriptions (no judgment here, life is busy and it\u2019s easy to forget), then you can just set a reminder right on the app.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>In my experience, sometimes it can take a bit of time to find the best coupon for the medication you need. Medication prices are constantly changing, so consistency can be hard to find. That being said, you can set up alerts to receive notifications when coupons or discounts are available for the medications you use frequently, which is much easier than spending hours searching through deals.<\/span>

Blink Health Lowest Rx Prices – Rating: 4.8, Downloads: 100K<\/span><\/h2>\n

The prices on Blink Health are guaranteed, which is what makes this one of my favorite prescription discount apps. All you have to do is pay directly on the app and you have the opportunity to save up to 95%. Plus, you can fill your prescriptions at a nearby participating pharmacy so you don\u2019t have to drive miles and miles just to get a discount on your medicine. It’s a quick, simple, and budget-friendly option that\u2019s particularly good if you don’t have the best insurance coverage. Even if you do have coverage for your prescriptions, it\u2019s possible that the Blink Health app prices might be even lower, so it’s always a good idea to check. <\/span>

\n<\/span>With Blink Health, you have the ability to earn $15 of prescription credit for every friend you refer to the app. This being said, you should know that if you’ve earned multiple credits, you can only use up to $15 at a time off your purchase, so the other credits you\u2019ll have to save for the future.<\/span>

Drugs.com Medication Guide – Rating: 4.5, Downloads: 1M<\/span><\/h2>\n

When it comes to managing your medications, getting the best deal for your prescriptions, and checking on drug interactions, you can do all of those things with Drugs.com Medication Guide, which is why I\u2019ve included it on this list. You have the ability to save all your medications in a single list and create multiple lists if you’re managing medications for more than one person. I\u2019ve found this incredibly helpful for keeping up with the various prescription medications my family members are taking. You can then take a look at prescription profiles to get all the information you might need about a particular medication, including price checks and discounts for local pharmacies.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>I will say that while Drugs.com Medication Guide is really useful for keeping a list of all your medications in one place, there isn\u2019t a way to refill or purchase medications through the app. You will have to go to another site in order to purchase your prescriptions. This can be a bit of a hassle, I won\u2019t lie to you, but it is incredibly helpful to have everyone\u2019s prescription drug information in one place, so you\u2019ll have to weigh the pros and cons for yourself. <\/span>

It\u2019s common knowledge that prescription medications are at an all-time high, but it isn\u2019t common knowledge – at least, it wasn\u2019t for me – that there are apps that can help you save your money when it comes to purchasing your prescriptions. Having access to coupons right on your phone can save you a lot of time and money in the long run, and you’ll be amazed at how affordable your prescriptions can actually be.
