Sony Pictures Entertainment drops the inaugural trailer for “Madame Web,” a standalone Spider-Man cinematic universe origin story hitting theaters on February 16, 2024.
Directed by S.J. Clarkson, known for “Jessica Jones,” the film features Dakota Johnson as the clairvoyant mutant Madame Web and Sydney Sweeney as Spider-Woman.
The narrative predates Madame Web’s wheelchair-bound phase in the comics. The ensemble cast includes Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps, Emma Roberts, and Adam Scott. “Madame Web” is part of Sony’s broader Spider-Man spinoff strategy, joining upcoming releases like “Kraven the Hunter” and the third installment of the Venom series.
