Actor Adan Canto, of ‘X-Men’ and ‘Designated Survivor,’ Dies at 42
Adan Canto, the versatile Mexican singer and actor known for his roles in "X-Men: Days of Future Past," "Agent Game," and TV series like "Designated Survivor" and "The Cleaning Lady," has passed away at the age of 42. His publicist, Jennifer Allen, revealed that Canto had been privately battling appendiceal cancer.
Canto, born in Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico, and raised in Texas, began his career as a singer-songwriter in Mexico City at the age of 16. He later transitioned to acting, making his TV debut in the 2009 Mexican series "Estado de Gracia" and his American debut in Kevin Williamson’s 2013 Fox drama series, "The Following."
