Your favorite traveler will appreciate any gadget that makes their journey easier and more enjoyable, from lightweight keyboards that fold compactly to apps that let them gaze out the window – these gadgets are sure to delight.
1. Clutch Charger V2
As often happens, you find yourself with an empty smartphone battery when least expected – the Clutch Charger V2 helps prevent this hassle!
Slim and lightweight, this portable power bank weighs only two ounces. Resembling four credit cards stacked atop each other, it fits easily into wallets, purses, backpacks and bags for convenient charging on-the-go.
LED indicators on this device allow for convenient charging status monitoring and storage in an airplane carry-on bag. With backup power at your fingertips, capturing breathtaking landscapes or safely exploring unfamiliar streets won’t become a source of anxiety – instead you’ll enjoy peace of mind knowing there will be power when needed!
2. Mophie 3-in-1 Travel Charger
Mophie recently upgraded one of their top multi-device travel chargers to provide Apple Watch fast charging support, along with a sleek carrying case made of what looks like premium felt material (but attracts dust and pet fur like crazy!).
The travel charger folds into a tri-fold design, featuring an indented spot for iPhone, an area for MagSafe charging puck that supports Nightstand Mode, and another section dedicated to AirPods charging. Certified MFi compatible to provide up to 15W of power output, the device also comes equipped with 30W USB-C PD wall adapter and cable for use when traveling abroad.
At $150, this charger offers everything necessary for mobile charging – including a dedicated spot for the Apple Watch!
3. Sunglasses with Audio
Sunglasses with audio capabilities can be an indispensable travel accessory. Wearers can enjoy listening to music, podcasts and audiobooks while protecting their eyes from UV radiation from the sun’s rays.
Some of the top sunglasses with audio feature miniaturized speakers built into their arms. These speakers allow you to stream music, take calls and access voice assistants such as Siri or Alexa.
These sunglasses with audio feature polarized lenses and offer hands-free calling capability, step tracking capabilities and posture detection sensors, making them the ideal companions for fitness enthusiasts. Their battery lasts three hours and they can even be charged wirelessly!
4. Clip 4
As its predecessor, the Clip 4 is a speaker designed to clip onto various objects (bag straps or bike handlebars) and deliver richer audio than your phone or tablet’s speakers are capable of. JBL improved their carabiner so it is less prone to breaking along the hinge, and also optimized their user interface with better button tactile feedback and easy USB-C port access without needing to open any flaps. Though its 10 hours of endurance may not match that of Tribit’s Stormbox Micro 2 (16), but still enough for shower entertainment or weekend trips! Furthermore, there is also a microphone built-in for receiving one-sided calls with your virtual assistant if need be!
5. Bose QuietComfort 35
Bose offers travelers noise-cancelling headphones designed to block out plane engines and other noise, providing superior active noise cancellation with exceptional wireless performance and a lightweight yet comfortable design.
These headphones are an ideal option for long flights as our objective battery test shows they last approximately 20 hours on one charge. In addition, their protective case makes storing both headphones and accessories easy.
While it is unfortunate that these headphones do not support AptX audio quality, their sound quality via Bluetooth remains excellent. Google Assistant makes for a nice added feature; however, this alone wouldn’t justify upgrading from existing QC 35 headphones.
6. JBL Clip
The JBL Clip 4 Bluetooth speaker was designed for ultimate portability. Equipped with an integrated carabiner and dustproof and waterproof materials, this compact Bluetooth device can easily attach to bags or backpacks while hiking, poolside or at the beach.
You can play music wirelessly from any compatible device with this ruggedly stylish speaker and its impressive 10-hour battery life is truly impressive. Although charging takes place through USB-C port instead of traditional 3.5mm headphone jack, that small sacrifice makes way for an enjoyable audio experience on any adventure!
The Ultimate Ears WONDERBOOM 2 is a better choice than the JBL Clip 4. It offers lower latency, louder volume capabilities and has a more balanced sound profile.
